The vibe is a crazy high energy, and there is absolutely no way that you won’t have an amazing time at The Junction. Not to mention, it is a bi-level complex and has three bars serving every imaginable drink, and the aesthetic is super fancy without having to pay a fancy price! 

Club 717

Club 717 is a non-profit organisation, which sounds ridiculous because, well, it’s a club! But, Club 717 is essentially The Durham Alliance Association Social Club and strives to provide an epic and safe clubbing experience that ain’t too tough on the wallet and give back to the lgbtq+ community. Thursday nights are ‘pub nights at the club, where the booze is cheap, and the fun is extreme, while Friday nights mean exciting drag performances and an electric crowd! 

Simcoe Blues and Jazz

Just a few minutes from Downtown Oshawa, Simcoe Blues and Jazz is a buzzing bar and grill with phenomenal food, boozy drinks, semi-private booths, billiards, and live entertainment on any night of the week. Their website lists all the upcoming events, so you just have to check it out, decide on what vibes with you the best and head out on that date! 


The Bulldog Pub

Located on Grandview Street, the Bulldog Pub is a rustic, old-school looking bar with brick walls, a stone fireplace and has the best grub in town. Their chicken wings and burgers are to-die-for and yum drinks. It is the best and go-to place in the city for uni students who want to have a chill and low-key night with some friends! 

The Edge Lounge

Nestled in Mackenzie Avenue, The Edge Lounge changes its colour depending on what day of the week it is- meaning it is a cosy bar with a fireplace and live shows on some days, a chill sports bar and grill spot with yum food and drinks on others, and a raging night club esque place with exciting music and an even more excited crowd on some other nights! So, it has something to offer to everyone, no matter what your taste or vibe. 

The Waltzing Weasel

Laid-back atmosphere, unpretentious vibe, great beers, delicious grub, good music, lively crowd, and dope events; what’s not to love? The Waltzing Weasel has been voted the best pub in the city, and one visit there will prove that there’s no denying it! Tuesday Night is Poker night, Wednesdays are trivia nights, and you can find awesome live music on Friday nights. And, you MUST try their incredible burgers and wings at least once, and don’t forget their poutine cuz it is *chef’s kiss*!
